The Story of Author Robert George Mahoney

Robert George Mahoney, known as Rob to his family and friends, was born in Kings Lynn, Norfolk, England in 1954 to Raymond and Brenda Mahoney. Every Sunday, he would visit his grandparents Reginald and Elsie Eagle, and it was here that his granddad would tell him amazing stories of cowboys, magic and make-believe. He was always a prankster, and no-one was safe from him, not even his mum and dad. The idea of Pockets and Patches originated here. Football was the sport he loved and, in his teens, he played for four different football teams. Leaving school, he had different jobs for many years. He worked selling car parts, in a food factory, in a removal company and finally in a supermarket until his retirement in 2020. Robert is married to his wife Carolyn, and they have eight children and seven grandchildren. He dedicated this book to one of his grandchildren, Rinoa Grace. Robert enjoys watching his favourite football team, reading, watching movies and spending time with his family and four dogs. He always dreamed of writing his own book and finally his dream has come true.
